MERCURY MARINE
Process Utility Piping
Working closely with Mercury Marine, Rohde Brothers, Inc. provided complete design/build HVAC and process mechanical services for a die cast addition while simultaneously rebuilding the process piping infrastructure. Work was completed over multiple years in phases to maintain plant operations.
Rohde "provided entire mechanical system integration packages and added their own value engineering to reduce installed cost and operating cost while actually enhancing our original performance expectations," said Stephen Mlinaz, Mercury Marine Senior Facilities Manager.
Customized Solution:
Installed new piping while maintaining flow of water to the plant with highly congested utility tunnels required careful layout and review of every piping system within the plant.
In conjunction with the recirculated cooling water piping, the utility piping in the tunnels was replaced.
All process utilities were modified including potable water, non-potable water, compressed air, die lube, and waste water.
Modifications included consolidation of lines, replacement, and changes to allow for future expansion of the die casting operations.
